Getting Organized

Do you ever get overwhelmed with your schedule ? This includes tasks that you need to get done , balancing school, work and other extracurricular activities. I get it!! This is something I struggled with for a very long time. Honestly I was all over the place and I would find myself getting frustrated frequently. The problem was that I was unorganized. I'm a visual person , so if I don’t see it chances are it’s not going to get done. I decided that I didn't want to turn this habit into a lifestyle. Here are some of the tips I began to include in my routine.

Tip#1-Write down the tasks you want to complete the night before.

Tip#2- Write down goals/visions frequently. I like to put a time frame on the goals and hang it up in my room, so that I can see it every morning. ( I enjoy doing the vision boards quarterly because you can track and celebrate your progress)

Tip#3- Tidy up at night , so that you can wake up to a clean home. (I know this may sound simple but it's much needed.) You know what they say "A cluttered space can cause a cluttered mind"

Tip#4- Invest in a calendar. ( Write down meetings, events, appointments etc.)

Tip#5- Make a checklist. Rather its going grocery shopping or completing homework assignments. It's nice to have a list in front of you, so that you can stay productive.

When using these methods, my days flow much better. Even if everything doesn’t go as planned, it’s always nice to have a layout and prevents the mind from running wild .Lastly, I want to remind you to take it day by day.
